Born in 1827 in Hungary, Mihály Zichy takes us back in time to an entirely different world of erotic art. He was a significant representative of Hungarian romantic painting. During his law studies in Pest from 1842, he attended J. Marastoni’s school as well. In Vienna he was Waldmüller’s pupil in 1844. He is well known for his beautiful, natural illustrations depicting physical love.
